Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about rooftop solar subsidies, net metering with JVVNL, installation costs, and ROI in Jaipur.

Under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, residential individual homeowners in Rajasthan receive a direct subsidy of:
1 kW System: ₹30,000 to ₹33,000
2 kW System: ₹60,000 to ₹66,000
3 kW to 10 kW System: ₹78,000 (Central government maximum subsidy cap)
The subsidy is credited directly via DBT to your bank account after Discom net meter inspection and joint commissioning. Eversun Power manages all portal registration and inspection liaisoning for you.

Net metering is a billing mechanism that credits you for the electricity you export to the grid. A bidirectional net meter records both the energy you consume from JVVNL and the surplus energy generated by your solar system sent back to the grid. In your electricity bill, the exported units are subtracted from your imported units, resulting in massive bill savings (up to 90%).

As a rule of thumb, you need approximately 80 to 100 square feet of shadow-free rooftop space per kilowatt (kW). For example:
3 kW System: ~250 - 300 sq. ft
5 kW System: ~400 - 500 sq. ft
10 kW System: ~800 - 1,000 sq. ft
Eversun Power also provides elevated high-rise structures so you can freely use your roof floor space underneath.

Residential Systems: With the PM Surya Ghar subsidy of ₹78,000, most 3 kW to 5 kW home systems in Jaipur pay for themselves in 3.0 to 4.0 years.
Commercial & Industrial Systems: Higher commercial grid tariffs (₹9–11/unit) combined with 40% Accelerated Depreciation (AD) tax benefits yield payback in 2.5 to 3.5 years. After payback, the remaining 20+ years of energy is essentially free.

All installations by Eversun Power utilize Tier-1 components:
Solar Modules: 25-Year Linear Power Output Warranty (minimum 80% generation guaranteed at Year 25) and 10–12 Year Product Warranty.
Solar Inverters: 5 to 10-Year Manufacturer Warranty.
Mounting Structures: Hot-dip galvanized steel with corrosion resistance up to 25+ years.

The physical rooftop installation of a residential 3 kW–10 kW plant is completed by our engineering crew in 2 to 4 days. The DISCOM approval, net meter testing, and final commissioning typically take 15 to 25 working days depending on JVVNL subdivision scheduling.
